Who is Trina Paulus?

I am best known as the author of Hope for the Flowers, my only and now classic best selling book moving into its 50th year. For those who may not know it, consider it basically an illustrated long parable about revolution in terms of a caterpillar risking the cocoon and transforming - and then being able to fulfill its real purpose - to fly from flower to flower, carrying a flower’s love and being rewarded by the nectar of each flower so that both live. Stupendous exchange that could make the world such a glorious place! For 50 years I have had the privilege to see these little caterpillars crawl quietly around the world in many languages with their challenge inspiring many.

These posters were made by me, Trina Paulus, during a time of great injustice and civil unrest in the 1960's. The global chaos of 2020, and the new use of smart phones and the Internet, has brought us face to face with the injustice and division that continues to boil over in our nation. I asked myself, and my Hope Team, how can we help? So we dusted off my old posters and The Hope Unity Project was born. Perhaps my yard/window signs can help us to express where we stand; United in Hope, Justice, Peace and Love.  I truly hope you will participate in sharing these yard/window signs and helping to spread the message that we need each other! Will you be willing to share like the butterfly with the flowers? 🦋

We're trying an experiment - selling only in batches of 10 for one design to encourage people to join our sharing. We are offering these signs at our cost, only $8.00 EACH. At that quantity with one design we can get them shipped directly to you with some respect for the big packaging a 24 x 24" outdoor yard sign requires. That's when the fun begins ! Once your signs arrive, the Hope Unity Project calls you to display a sign in your window or on your lawn, then randomly give them away; to family, friends, neighbors and even strangers. Document and share your responses on social media using the hashtag #HopeUnityProject

It saddens me to imagine my 1963 design fits our current crisis so accurately! This reveals the big work we have to do, and do it “Together”. During Covid this yard sign silently and boldly expresses where I stand on my busy Montclair New Jersey County Road.
